The Veteran Games is an exciting and engaging competition that was created to support our Veterans, through physical and mental fitness.
This year, Diggers became a Bronze Sponsor for The Veterans Games, donating $10,000 to their cause.
With over 300 people in attendance and 127 competitors, this year’s games continued to showcase the power in teamwork, resilience and spirit within the veteran community.
Through lived experience and findings from the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide, creating an empowering environment for veterans and their families is a key focus within the games.
Competitors described the event as life saving with a great sense of community and inclusivity.
The Club is honoured to be a sponsor for The Veterans Games, and stands behind their mission to provide on-going and sustainable support.
“Your support made it possible to bring hundreds of veterans, families, and supporters together – building community, purpose, and belonging through shared challenge, laughter, and connection”.
The Veteran Games is already looking forward to next years event, with an expansion in its final stages to revamp the competition.

Diggers Services Club provides cash donation to help sanctioned Olympic weightlifting competition at Southside Weightlifting Club.
This Logan first event, was proudly supported by the local community club, thanks to their annual grants and donations.
The landmark competition was to unite athletes and families from all culturally diverse backgrounds, celebrating strength, inclusion and pride within the community.
The funds received from Diggers assisted delivering a safe and successful event, while contributing to essential costs like equipment hire, merchandise, volunteers, medals and certificates.

The Southside weightlifting Club is a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to promoting a culture of personal growth, discipline and community connection through weightlifting.

Diggers Services Club has donated over $2,500 in sporting equipment to Yarrabilba Sports Association.
The Yarrabilba Sports Association manages the Yarrabilba Cricket Club & Multisports. Their vision is to bring the Community together through active programs.
The Diggers Services Club donated a Paceman 525 Express Ball Machine, which assists the Junior & Senior Cricket teams in improving and practicing their skills to gain a more consistent batting time.
The addition of the bowling machine has provided the Cricket Club a level of excitement, within the Junior team particularly, who now see facing the Machine as a milestone.
Each year, the Diggers Services Club help several organisations like the Yarrabilba Sports Association with annual grants and donations.
The President of Yarrabilba Sports Association, Phillip Knowles, says “this addition allows a rapidly growing club like ours to attract and retain talent”.

Diggers Services Club donates Loganholme Probus Club visit to regional Zoo.
In October, the Diggers Services Club provided Loganholme Probus a memorable trip to Dowling Downs Zoo.
Whilst there, the Probus members enjoyed a delicious lunch before exploring the Zoo and seeing all the animals, some members even brave enough to hold a snake.
“Everyone had a wonderful day” said Loganholme Probus Club employee, Frances Byrne.
The Probus Club of Loganholme, is a club for retirees to connect socially with other members of the community through interesting activities, outings, tours, and hobbies.
This year, the Loganholme Probus Club was amongst numerous local Organisations to receive a donation from Diggers Services Club through their Annual Grants.
