Diggers Services Club Supports Kokoda Youth Foundation
As part of our annual grants and donations program, Diggers Services Club proudly donated $5,000 to the Kokoda Youth Foundation, supporting its outdoor youth development programs that inspire and empower young Australians.
The Kokoda Youth Foundation is dedicated to changing the lives of young people through the Spirit of Kokoda, promoting the values of courage, endurance and mateship demonstrated during the 1942 Kokoda Campaign in Papua New Guinea. Through challenging outdoor experiences, the Foundation helps participants build resilience, confidence and strong community connections.
The Club’s donation enabled the Foundation to purchase two new all-weather cameras, allowing teams to capture and document their experiences during training activities and expeditions.
“The cameras have been a great addition to the teams so far, especially with them participating in the challenges and in the lead up to heading to Papua New Guinea in September,” said Jason Willis, Donations and Sponsorship Coordinator at the Kokoda Youth Foundation.
Diggers Services Club is proud to support organisations that create meaningful opportunities for local young people, helping them develop valuable life skills while making a positive contribution to the wider community.

Diggers Helps Young Drivers Become Road Ready
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the Logan community, Diggers Services Club proudly donates to a range of local charities and organisations each year, helping create positive opportunities for people across the region.
This year, the Club funded 30 professional driving lessons for the Road Ready program, supporting young people as they work towards obtaining their driver’s license. Road Ready is a comprehensive road safety initiative delivered by 5Fold, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering local communities.
The program assists young people aged 16–24 in Yarrabilba and Logan Village who face barriers to gaining their license, helping them build essential driving skills, confidence and independence.
“The donation has made a genuine difference to our program by enabling our young learner drivers to access professional driving lessons alongside their supervised driving hours,” said Melinda Hartley, Managing Director of 5Fold.
With the support of Road Ready Program Facilitator Marge, participants receive guidance throughout their learning journey, creating greater opportunities for employment, education and increased independence while building safer roads for the future.

Diggers Services Club Continues Support For Local Children
For more than 40 years, Diggers Services Club has proudly supported local organisations through its annual grants program, helping community groups continue the important work they do across the region.
This year, Diggers has continued its support of the Logan VIEW Club with a $2,000 donation to sponsor two children through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.
VIEW, which stands for Voice, Interests & Education of Women, has been supporting women and communities across Australia since the 1960s. Through its partnership with The Smith Family, VIEW Clubs raise vital funds to help children experiencing disadvantage stay engaged with their education and reach their full potential.
The Learning for Life program supports students from primary school through to Year 12, providing assistance with educational essentials such as books, stationery, technology and clothing. VIEW members also develop a personal connection with sponsored children through letters and special gifts for birthdays and Christmas.
For Logan VIEW Club President Patricia Broederlow, the organisation is about much more than fundraising.
“The VIEW Club is not boring! It’s a place where members can socialise and do something for their community.”
The Logan VIEW Club welcomes women of all ages and backgrounds, meeting monthly to enjoy guest speakers, socialise and plan fundraising activities.
With the continued support of organisations such as Diggers Services Club, VIEW members can help create brighter educational futures for local Australian children while strengthening connections within the community.

Diggers Supports Logan Village Probus Club
Diggers Services Club has continued its commitment to supporting local community organisations, recently providing the Logan Village Probus Club with a complimentary lunch as part of our Club’s Annual Grants Program.
The lunch gave members of the Logan Village, Greenbank and Jimboomba Probus Clubs an opportunity to come together, enjoy a meal and catch up with fellow members and friends.
Probus is a not-for-profit organisation that provides retirees with opportunities to build friendships and social connections through regular activities, outings, guest speakers and gatherings. The Club is honoured to be a sponsor for The Veterans Games, and stands behind their mission to provide on-going and sustainable support.
“Your support made it possible to bring hundreds of veterans, families, and supporters together – building community, purpose, and belonging through shared challenge, laughter, and connection.”

The funds received from Diggers assisted delivering a safe and successful event, while contributing to essential costs like equipment hire, merchandise, volunteers, medals and certificates.
“Thanks to Diggers, our community was able to enjoy a safe, well-organised, and influential event” – Tise Aaifou, Southside Weightlifting Club Director.

Diggers Supports Community Sports
Diggers Services Club has donated over $2,500 in sporting equipment to Yarrabilba Sports Association.

The Diggers Services Club donated a Paceman 525 Express Ball Machine, which assists the Junior & Senior Cricket teams in improving and practicing their skills to gain more consistent batting time.
The addition of the bowling machine has provided the Cricket Club a level of excitement, within the Junior team particularly, who now see facing the machine as a milestone.
Each year, Diggers Services Club helps several organisations like the Yarrabilba Sports Association with annual grants and donations.
The President of Yarrabilba Sports Association, Phillip Knowles, says this addition allows a rapidly growing club like theirs to attract and retain talent.
